You can also build structures where you can use materials to build things for the minions, like skateboards and mischievous weapons to fulfill party requests. Like with Distractivities, you’ll need to assign Minions who will gather those materials after a given time. You can also build places where Minions can gather materials, like coconuts, bamboo, ice, etc. Assign a Minion to one of these places and after a while, they’ll help you earn Party Points. These include a piñata, a skateboard half pipe, hammock, and more. Some of the things you can build are “Distractivities” for the other Minions. Sometimes you’ll also earn doubloons and smaller coins, which you can use to buy items and complete missions without waiting or before you get all the materials you need. Gaining levels lets you bring more Minions to the island as well as build more things for them. When you complete missions and fulfillments, you earn party points, which help you gain levels. So when you first get to the island, Phil sets up a Tiki bar of sorts, which acts as your home base, where you’ll receive missions and requests, which you’ll also get on the nearby bulletin board.

#MINIONS PARADISE REVIEW ANDROID#
Help Phil get the island ready with lots of fun things to do and make, so the other Minions can still have their tropical vacation! Minions Paradise is available free-to-play to download on iOS and Android devices, but reviewed on iPad here. But for ruining their fun, they’re not very happy with Phil as they swim to the island. Luckily, Phil finds a deserted tropical island nearby, and all the other Minions survived. When he mistakenly turns the ship’s helm and steers them right into a rock, all seems lost as the ship sinks. God, I'm an adult. One day, all the Minions took a relaxing tropical vacation on a cruise ship.

Good man - add me as a friend so we can organise a sick party together. It's also ridiculously good looking that rivals even the visuals of the films. Ordering your minions around and playing minigames is really satisfying, and you're constantly being rewarded for the actions you perform. Well, if you love minions you're going to love this game, but even if you don't there's a ton of fun to be had here.

That being said, it never really forces you to spend your own money so you can just enjoy the game at a leisurely pace. You're still spending most of your time managing things and earning the varying different types of in-game currency to spend on new minions, buildings, and interactive items.
#MINIONS PARADISE REVIEW FREE#
So it's not like all those other free to play games then? There's a lot of micromanagement involved as you try and keep all of your minions productive but there's also a lot of fun to be had in the minigames. Other than that ordering minions around is incredibly satisfying. Well, for a start it's free, like all of the best things in life.

My favourite is the one where you ride on the back of a shark to collect golden shark teeth. Well, they love a good minigame and there are tons of those here. What do they do for fun when they're not partying? Every action they perform gives you party points and when you reach a set number of those you level up and all of your minions have a lovely little party. Their favourite thing is partying and that's the primary goal of Minions Paradise. Well, oddly enough you give them mundane tasks to do like picking coconuts, napping, or whacking pinatas. It's okay though because he's setting up his own little island paradise to cheer them all up. Oh, you have heard of them? Then why did you ask? Why are they all so happy?īecause they're on holiday! Well, they were until Phil (that's the nerdy looking minion with the glasses) crashed their cruise ship by accident. These are the titular minions from the behemoth Despicable Me franchise. Well, you've clearly been living in a cave for the past few years so let me fill you in. What's with all these weird yellow monsters then?
